The Implementing Agency of the Government and the Mongolian Agency for Standardization and Metrology standardized the sport of handball last week.
Officials said that the standardization will bring the opportunity to ensure clean and safe gyms, to have professional training systems to prepare athletes from the very beginning, and to plan and organize events effectively in Mongolia.
President of the Mongolian Handball Federation D.Jargalsaikhan, vice president B.Munkhbayar, and the federation’s general secretary B.Enebish initiated the efforts to standardize the sport. It took over a year to do the research related to the rules and standards of international institutions and introduce it to Mongolia, the federation said.
This project was introduced and supported a the conference of Ministry of Education, Culture and Science and the Mongolian Agency for Standardization and Metrology. The Mongolian Handball Federation noted that the standard has two parts, which includes requirements for training facility, and requirements for handball courts and tools.
