The Art Gallery of the Union of Mongolian Artists (UMA) is hosting “Infinite II”, an exhibition by lecturers from the Art and Physical Education School of the Mongolian State University of Education, through January 21. The exhibition includes over 60 artworks by 19 artists.
Artist and lecturer B.Galbadrakh stated that the main focus of the exhibition is to present new work by artists who have shaped the work and careers of a number of artists and art teachers. The first “Infinite” exhibition was held in 2013.
He pointed out that since the university’s art school was first established, it has produced a number of artists and art teachers, including state honored artists G.Odon, L.Gavaa, O.Tsevegmed, and B.Chogsom.
Each of these faculty members have contributed their experience and expertise to support a great number of graduates.
The artwork on view in the gallery includes classic, realistic, modern, and impressionist styles.
M.Uranberkh’s “Bride’s Time” won the Best Mongolian Fine Art award from the UMA’s annual exhibition of the year’s masterpieces and is among other notable works on view in “Infinite II”.
