Through the Friendly Ulaanbaatar program, the Ulaanbaatar City Mayor’s Office will organize the Danshig Naadam – Khuree Tsam religious and cultural festival on August 6 and 7 at Khui Doloon Khudag.
The Danshig Naadam will promote traditions and culture, and aims to preserve Buddhist rituals and performances, which used to be dedicated to the wellbeing of the people. The event will also promote tours and traditional items to both domestic and foreign tourists, and call on residents of Ulaanbaatar to safeguard Mongolian cultural heritages.
Over 500 Buddhist lamas will open the Danshig Naadam and do spiritual readings at Chinggis Square on August 6 at 6:00 a.m.
Tsam dance performance, art performances, domestic products’ fair and food festivals will be organized at Khui Doloon Khudag during the Danshig Naadam. Free buses will leave from Ulaanbaatar to Khui Doloon Khudag during the event.
