A farewell ceremony for the Mongolian Olympic team took place yesterday at 11:00 a.m. at Chinggis Square. President of Mongolia Ts.Elbegdorj participated in the farewell ceremony and wish the athletes luck.
Speaker of Parliament M.Enkhbold, Prime Minister J.Erdenebat, other members of Parliament, administrators of the Mongolian National Olympic Committee, and Olympic Games medalists also attended the farewell ceremony. The Mongolian Olympic team will leave for Brazil on July 28.
The President handed over the state flag to judoka and flag bearer of the Mongolian Olympic team, International Sports Master B.Temuulen.
On July 18, the Mongolian national judo team received their white and blue judogi (the Japanese name of the uniform worn by judokas) made by Mizuno from D.Jargalsaikhan, head of the Physical Training and Sports Development Center.
National judo team coach O.Baljinnyam said that the team has been training well, especially the 13 athletes who will be competing in Rio.
