President to conduct state visit to Republic of Korea


President of Mongolia Ts.Elbegdorj is conducting a state visit to the Republic of Korea from May 18 to 20, upon the invitation of his counterpart President Park Geun-hye.

The parties are expected to exchange views on deepening Mongolia-Korea strategic partnership relations, to preserve the frequency of the high-level bilateral visits, to strengthen economic relations and cooperation, and are expected to share their views on international and regional matters.

President Ts.Elbegdorj will hold bilateral talks with the President Park, and will meet with the Speaker of the National Assembly of South Korea, Chung Ui-hwa, and the Mayor of Seoul, Park Won-soon.

Ts.Elbegdorj will be interviewed for a broadcast on television station KBS and is also scheduled to deliver a lecture on Mongolia’s foreign policy and regional security.
