Members of Parliament L.Tsog and G.Uyanga officially announced on Monday that they are leaving the Justice Coalition, a merging of the Mongolian People’s Revolutionary Party and the Mongolian National Democratic Party, leaving the coalition with eight members in Parliament.

In  an interview with local media, MP G.Uyanga explained the reason for their  decision, stating that the Justice Coalition insufficiently implemented the “Five Changes to Save Mongolia” program it promised  to gain the trust of  voters in the last election. She said that rather than operating to implement the program, the coalition was paying more attention to who would take on the position of Prime Minister.

“During the last four years, MP L.Tsog and I have tried to move other members of the coalition to implement our program, trying to fulfill our promise to save Oyu Tolgoi and to exploit and use its reserves, dividing benefits fairly and equally among all citizens of Mongolia. However, they did not want to move. They did not do anything to make changes in Mongolia,” G.Uyanga told reporters.
